NOFA 6 – Nordic Conference on School Subjects
Conference theme
General and subject specific knowledge about teaching and learning is complementary. Both have the aim to understand and deal with problems of education in order to facilitate student learning. From a general position scholars are investigating general conditions for schooling, such as child development, social background, multilingualism, classroom management etc., and from a subject specific position scholars deal with legitimacy and importance of school subjects and investigate particular problems, traditions and discourses in the different subjects.
The conference is intended for researchers, teaching developers and teacher educators in all types of schools. There is an emphasis on elementary and secondary education.

Helsingissä 27.-29.5.2015
Konferenssin teemana on Changing Subjects, Changing Pedagogies: Diversities in School and Education. Konferenssin pääpuhujia ovat professori Fred Dervin, professori David Lambert, Kenneth Nordgren ja professori Mamokgethi Phakeng. Luentojen lisäksi järjestetään monitieteinen paneelikeskustelu teemasta Aspects of Diversity – Challenges for Education. Konferenssin järjestävät Helsingin yliopiston ainedidaktiikan tutkimusyksikkö ja Suomen ainedidaktinen tutkimusseura.
